🇺🇸 They were called the Iron Men of Metz

In November 1944, U.S. soldiers fought to liberate this French city street by street.

I was born and raised in Metz, France, my family lived through what your fathers and grandfathers made possible.

The 95th Infantry Division didn’t just liberate a city…

They changed the course of families, futures, and freedom.

Today I walk descendants of WWII GIs to the exact places their heroes fought.

Historic forts. Battlefield roads. The Moselle River crossings.

Not in a book — but here, where it happened.

This is more than history.

It’s family history.

It’s legacy.

It’s memory.
